Your company is using JobXP for online employment system. A candidate applies for a System Analyst position. Your IT manager wants to receive email notification when someone applies for this position.
Prior to JobXP version 08.04, when a new application is submitted, only HR admin would get email notification. In JobXP version 08.04, HR admin can subscribe (or unsubscribe) Hiring Managers to get email notification as well. This blog describes the steps to setup email notification for Hiring Managers and how to customize the email notification template. Click on the images to zoom in.
How to subscribe HR Managers to get email notification

For Hiring Managers to get email notification, HR admin can subscribe Hiring Managers on the Position edit screen. To get to position listing screen:
- Login with HR Admin acount
- Go to Admin >> Maintain Posistion Listings
- Select a position to Edit

To subscribe Hiring Managers
- Under "Notification" tab, select a manager from the drop down list whom you wish to add to subscription list
- Check the check boxes under “Email When”
- Click on "Receive Notifications" button
To unsubscribe:
- Click on the delete icon under "Action"

How to customize the email notification template

The email notification is template based and it is customizable. To get to the Hiring Manager email notification template
- Login as HR Admin
- Go to menu Admin >> Email Templates
- Select template "Job Application Submitted. Notify Manager"

To customize the email template:
- Edit Subject and Body
- Click on Save

| The email notification to Hiring Managers contains name of the applicant and a hyperlink to JobXP application. Hiring Managers can click on the hyperlink to login JobXP to review the submitted application. |
