Since the last release of JobXP version 08.02 in April 2008, we have made many enhancements and have fixed some bugs to JobXP version 08.04.
Enhancements:
1. “My Subscription” – a register user can subscribe or unsubscribe new job openings in a category or division. When a job is opened in a category or division which a user subscribed to, he/she will receive an email of job opening notification.
2. “Manage User Subscription” – JobXP administrator can subscribe or unsubscribe a user from receiving an email notification for a job opening.
3. The “My Subscription” and “Manage User Subscription” features can be enabling or disabling in the module settings by JobXP administrator.
4. JobXP administrator can subscribe for the managers to receive email notification when a candidate applies for a job in their department. This feature is part of “Position Maintenance” screen.
5. “Notify Subscribers” button was added to position maintenance screen. When “Notify Subscribers” button is clicked, the users who subscribe to job that meet their criteria will receive email notification of job opening.
6. Email template customization – JobXP has a set of three predefine email templates which send out to the subscribers. They are “Job Application Submitted Confirmation”, “Job Application Submitted”, “New Position Open” templates. This feature allows JobXP administrator to customize these templates according to their needs.
7. Printing affirmative action forms and submitted application -
a. Users can print a copy of their affirmative action and job applications in HTML format
b. HR Manager and JobXP administrator can print job applications and affirmative action form in HTML or PDF format. They have option of print individual application or batch of applications
8. Reports - Hiring managers and JobXP administrator have ability to view “Application By Division / Category” report
9. Add DateLastEmailSent and HotJob fields to TE_JobXP_Position table. The DateLastEmailSent field used in tracking the last date email was sent to the job subscribers. The HotJob field is used in tracking the hot job. These two fields are in the position mantainance screen.
Bugs Fixed:
1. There was slowness in the applicant lookup search. Make change to the function "fTE_JobXP_EmpHistoryPositionTitles" and store procedure "pTE_JobXP_Applicant_Lookup".
2. CertificationDetail varchar(200) field in TE_JobXP_AppForm table changed to CertificationDetail ntext .
3. Fixed the localization for the search by field (Location, Title) .
4. Fix security. Login account with user permission cannot access admin permission pages.
Installation or Upgrade Instructions
System requirements:
- DNN: 4.7 or higher
- Database: MS SQL 2000 or higher
After unzip the download package, you will see two zip files
1. ICPC-TE-SecXP_08.02.01_Install.zip - a shared library module that is used by all XP modules such as IssueXP, TimeXP, and JobXP.
2. ICPC-TE-JobXP_08.04.05_Install.zip - installation package for JobXP.
Notice that the shared library SecXP module is at version 08.02.01. If you have installed SecXP version is 08.02.01, you can skip step 1 below.
To install JobXP:
- Step 1 - Install ICPC-TE-SecXP_08.02.01_Install.zip
- Step 2 - Install ICPC-TE-JobXP_08.04.05_Install.zip
