JobXP Permission Overview
The JobXP supports three level of permissions
- Admin
- Manager
- User
Users with JobXP admin permission will see the Admin menu. Under Admin menu, there are admin menu options such as process submit job applications, posting opening positions, create/update contacts, etc. This permission should be assigned to HR administrators.
Users with JobXP Manager permission will see the Hiring Manager menu. From the Hiring Manager menu, users can search and view the job application and download the cover letter/resume. Typically this permission can be assigned to hiring managers who login to JobXP and review candidate cover letters and resumes.
User with JobXP User permission can search for opening and apply for the job online. Typically this permission is assigned to DotNetNuke Registered Users.
There are two ways to assign JobXP permission to DotNetNuke - via the module settings screen or the JobXP Admin menu. After the module has been installed, the initial permission assignment will need to be done via the module settings screen.
The JobXP security model provides separation of duty between the DotNetNuke Portal Admin and JobXP HR Admin. DNN admin does not automatically get assigned with JobXP HR Admin permission unless it the permission is set explicitly. This helps to project HR data from un-authorize access, even from the Portal admin.
| After the module has been installed, the host can do initial assignment of JobXP permission to DotNetNuke Security Roles thru the module settings screen |
| After the initial permission assignment, HR Administrators can further assign permission by using the Role Permission screen under the Admin menu. |
